Three vehicle garage today! All three vehicles need to represent a different US president that was in office prior to 1931 . This is a dream garage, so they need to be vehicles you’d actually want as well. Pretend the ghost or reanimated, robotically enhanced, super corpse of each president is riding shotgun with you. I know that still isn’t enough to prevent the inevitable but you can’t say I didn’t try and as always, enjoy yo’selves!

1. Lincoln Town Car for Franklin Pierce, because obvious answer, and because I already have one.

Kinja'd!!!

2. Ferrari 308, for Ben Franklin. He may not have actually been president, but I’d be too busy with coke and French hookers to care about such minor details.

Kinja'd!!!

3. Marauder and Marauder for Teddy Roosevelt

Kinja'd!!!

Shelby Cobra Daytona - this is Geaorge Washington, born an British citizen, agile in battle and corners, and a winner in war politics and racing

Nash Metropolitan - John Q. Adams an American with some European education

1927 Auburn 6-6 Wanderer - Calvin Coolidge these two are contrmpoaries few of these cars were built and Coolidge was known as a man of few words

Did I do this right, or were we supposed to pick new cars?

Herbert Hoover- Chrysler 200: everything seems fine at first but after a few years everything is broken

Millard Filmore- Dodge Aspen: “oh yeah, that was a car”

Teddy Roosevelt- Stutz Bearcat: remembered (by few) fondly as a great thing for the average person, yet had aristocratic roots

Theodore Roosevelt - M8 Greyhound

As a throwback to his days in the US 1st Volunteer Cavalry

Kinja'd!!!

Maybe a 70s land yacht in white to honor the Great White Fleet

Thomas Jefferson - Citroen DS

He was a francophile and the DS is pretty much the most French car ever

Kinja'd!!!

William Taft - BMW 550i xdrive gran turismo

Kinja'd!!!

It was the first vehicle to pop up in a list of obese friendly cars. I’d take it.

Willys Americar: Calvin “Silent Cal” Coolidge

Kinja'd!!!

Simple, rugged, reliable, quiet, with modern build quality but all amenities a la carte and in basic configuration stripped to the bone for the most car at the lowest price point. Endlessly adaptable, but tends to be forgotten in original form.

Runner up: Kaiser Henry J.

1936 Lincoln-Zephyr:Chester A. Arthur

Kinja'd!!!

Extremely well-dressed, modern, suffering from some skepticism as a more entry-level candidate with pretensions but was almost immediately a success. Blamed by some for the death of a predecessor, had the last laugh in terms of a great deal of policy going forward. Mostly not thought about these days, but left a personal legacy of expensive taste (Arthur had the White House redecorated by Tiffany ).

1948 Packard: William Howard Taft

Kinja'd!!!

Corpulent? Perhaps. Certainly both a return to older forms and not quite as exciting as its predecessors, but liked well enough. Somewhat divisive as there were those that believed it was in the wrong direction and too intransigent to change - (politically) too bulky and corrupt - and while its constituency was shaken up by doubt, lost ground to a competitor. Still and all, competent, and not worth the slagging off it got from some quarters.

This is also an opportunity to make a Taft bathtub joke and I couldnt’ let it pass.

Alright this is a tough one for me as there are no “American” cars in my dream garage until you’re telling me the dream Garage can have 10 or more cars. Not that we have to keep them American, I’m just trying to.

I’d roll this 1953 Ford Comete with Teddy R

Kinja'd!!!

I scoop honest Abe in a Ford GT, assuming he fits. Also, I get to wear the top hat.

Kinja'd!!!

If I was planning to pick up George Washington, I would take an i8. Just to melt his brain with all of the tech.

Just because he is on the $100, doesn’t make him president.

Franklin would have drove something very French that could accommodate a lot of hookers, blow, and female aristocracy.

Teddy Roosevelt:

Kinja'd!!!

Rugged, yet dresses up well for an elegant dinner party. Liked by most.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Andrew Jackson:

Kinja'd!!!

From plebeian farming roots; not that great, but remembered fondly by some.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Abraham Lincoln:

Kinja'd!!!

Upheld as an icon, but was simply practical in its time. Gives undeserving reputation to its successors (aka Chevy brand/Republican Party).
